What does it mean to be fully vaccinated?
You are fully vaccinated if you have received the primary series of vaccines, but are not yet eligible to get a booster dose. That means:
- You received two shots of Moderna at least 2 weeks but not more than 6 months ago.
- You received two shots of Pfizer at least 2 weeks but not more than 5 months ago.
- You received the single shot of Johnson & Johnson at least 2 weeks but not more than 2 months ago.
- If you are immunocompromised, you may need more doses to achieve full protection and should talk to your doctor about receiving an additional dose.
What does it mean to be fully vaccinated and boosted?
If you were vaccinated more than 5 months ago with Pfizer or 6 months ago with Moderna or 2 months ago with Johnson & Johnson, you should get an additional dose of vaccine called a booster. Full details on booster recommendations are found here.
