Can I eat Halloween candy on Halloween night?
Trick-or-treating can be a low risk activity if you follow some safety precautions. But some people are wondering if it’s OK to eat Halloween candy on Halloween night. Remember that COVID-19 mainly spreads person-to-person when people cough, sneeze, sing, shout, or even just talk. Though some studies have found that the novel coronavirus can live on surfaces in laboratory conditions, these conditions are not like real life. Eating candy, even on Halloween night, is probably just fine. But if you’re concerned, you can wipe down the wrappers with a disinfectant first to be extra cautious.
