Tamara Henry, EdD

Dr. Tamara Henry is a Teaching Associate Professor at The George Washington University Milken Institute of Public Health. Dr. Henry received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Howard University in Washington, DC, and her Doctorate in Health Education from Teacher’s College at Columbia University in New York, NY.

Dr. Henry has consulted for local government, non-profit, and community-based organizations, including the District of Columbia Department of Corrections, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), and National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) on matters related to HIV/AIDS education, substance use disorders, and messaging for a wide range of constituents. More recently, she worked with the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF) on matters related to Diabetes education in Faith Based Organizations.
