Dr. Mimi Ghosh received her PhD from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Public Health in Infectious Diseases and Microbiology. Following her PhD, she pursued post-doctoral training at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth focusing on HIV acquisition and transmission in women. Currently Dr. Ghosh is an Associate Professor at the George Washington University, Milken Institute School of Public Health. Her research interests are focused on HIV in vulnerable populations, specifically immune responses and its regulation by sex hormones. Her current projects are funded by NIH and CFAR and include working with adolescent girls, postmenopausal women, women who have experienced sexual violence and trauma as well as transgender individuals.
